FIDBA aims to be a meeting place for authors who developed innovative ways of perception of reality and new ways of expressing it and think it through film, but also the arts, new narratives and new media formats ranging from photography to installations, from the documentary theater to transmedia storytelling, not to mention the intersections between reality and fiction. The Festival is open, in short, to all documentary whose works are a reflection and an effort to understand reality.

Rules
- Festival submissions are open for movies, documentaries, domestic and international; and for national and international documentary shorts.
- All productions must have been completed after January 1, 2021.
- For the selection duration will be taken into account: the film festival considers a feature film as longer than 60 minutes and a short film up to 30 minutes.
- For the selection of foreign films may send copies with English subtitles
